You asked. SRAM listened. eTap® is now available for Force®. SRAM Force eTap offers the key features of RED eTap AXS (modern gearing, advanced chain management, and easy personalization) in a more affordable package.

Starting from the cockpit, SRAM offers wireless shifting with hydraulic braking - the best of both worlds - making it easier than ever to explore new limits. New to the group is the AXS technology. AXS is SRAM's new electronic integration platform that connects electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS App allows riders to see battery status, change component behavior, personalize controls, get maintenance reminders and update firmware.

Moving down to the drivetrain, SRAM has incorporated some exciting technology for today's drop bar bikes, which are faster and more capable than ever before. Starting with the X-Range gearing, which is designed for today's road riding, SRAM has completely reimagined road gearing for wider range, more useful and smoother gear progression, as well as smarter shift settings - enabled by AXS. With X-Range you're always in the right gear. To enable X-Rangegearing technology, SRAM developed a narrower chain.

The unique link shape of Flattop technology not only allowed for a wider gear range but also results in quieter drivetrain operation and increased chain strength and durability. Ultra-smooth inside chainplates are completely devoid of square edges, resulting in a chain that engages the cassette and chainring with far less friction for quieter performance and better wear life. The design allows a narrow overall profile that can withstand greater angles, and also allows for a flatter outer-plate, which means more consistent chain riveting and enhanced overall strength. SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLockr as a tool-free, sure, and consistent way to connect their chains. While PowerLockr does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10-, 11-, and 12- speed drivetrains mandate that each PowerLockr is good for a one-time application only.
